FLOODGATE Reunites For Performance At RAISE THE DEAD Festival; Video Available

January 15, 2007

FLOODGATE, the New Orleans band featuring former EXHORDER and current ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY frontman Kyle Thomas, reunited for a one-off performance at Nola Underground's first annual Raise The Dead festival this past Saturday, January 13 at One Eyed Jack's in New Orleans. Watch an eight-minute video clip of the show at Google Video. Proceeds from the gig will go to the New Orleans Musicians Hurricane Relief Fund, which is an organization that acts as an outreach program to New Orleans musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina. It also aims to revive New Orleans' unique musical culture by helping displaced musicians return to New Orleans, creating gigs and replacing flood damaged instruments. The NOHRF empowers the musicians to earn a living and heal the community with music.

Relapse Records has set a March 6 release date for the new album from ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY, entitled "Open Fire". The CD was recorded at The Etching Tin Studios in Richmond, VA with engineer Ian Whalen and is the group's first record to feature Thomas.
